FASHION POLICE – E! HALTS ON PRODUCTION

Written by HF Magazine Staff  |

Fashion_Police_www.hfmagazineonline.com_

Report reaching us says that E! will be putting the popular TV show, Fashion Police on an extended hiatus. Already, we hear that the three remaining episodes of the show, which was scheduled to shoot this spring, will be scrapped, so as to give the production team some time to strategize and recast. The new plan is to return in the fall with six or seven episodes tied to major events, including the 2015 Emmys.

Quoting Berwick, who added E! to her portfolio mere weeks after Joan Rivers’ demise last September, “With the benefit of hindsight, we definitely brought it back too soon,” .

Berwick also said she and her team, along with Fashion Police executive producer Melissa Rivers, considered canceling the show in the wake of the departures, but ultimately they concluded they weren’t willing to give up on the franchise, which has lasted 5 years. “There was a lot of noise and drama that are really not helpful or additive to the creative process, but there’s a real love for this show,” she adds.

Berwick believes the Fashion Police, a show that was supposed to be fun, is now being taken too seriously. In her words, “When it stops being fun or if we think that we’re offending or crossing a line, absolutely, that’s the time to re-evaluate and that’s what we’re doing.”

X FACTOR – NEW ZEALAND FIRES A COUPLE FOR GROSS VERBAL MISCONDUCT

A couple who were part of the judges at New Zealand’s X Factor have been fired for recklessly abusing a contestant during a live show.

Natalia Kills and husband Willy Moon were fired after facing bullying claims to one contestant, Joe Irvine, after singing Michael Buble’s “Cry Me A River”.

Natalia’s words to the contestant reads, – “As an artist who respect artists’ integrity and intellectual property, I am disgusted at how much you have copied my husband. You’re a laughing stock. It’s cheesy, it’s disgusting. I personally found it absolutely artistically atrocious.”

Willy Moon continued with the tongue lash saying, “To me it just feels a little bit cheap and absurd. It’s like Norman Bates dressing up in his mother’s clothing. It’s just a little bit creepy and I feel like you’re going to stitch someone’s skin to your face and kill everybody in the audience.”

This did not go well with the producers of the show, who set up a panel that made sure the couple did not feature on the next or any future episodes of the show.

IBINABO RELIEVED OF HER POSITION AS PRESIDENT OF AGN

Written by HF Magazine Staff  |

Ibinabo_Fiberesima_www.hfmagazineonline.com_

Reports reaching us at HF Magazine online say that the Federal High Court has relieved Ibinabo Fiberesima of her office as President of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria. The ruling took place in Lagos this Monday morning.

The case which was presided by Justice James Tsoho ruled that the election was conducted against court order and ordered all parties involved to leave everything in its place.

We gathered that the court, on Friday, March 13, 2015 did not announce the anticipated judgement of the case, which was filed by actor, St. Maradona Mikevine. The plaintiff, who was the national treasurer in the election that produced another popular actor, Emeka Ike, as AGN president, had filed the suit to contest Ibinabo’s election as AGN president again; saying that the said election that led to Ibinabo’s election in the first place was not legal, owing to the fact that there was a court injunction against that election. He further demanded that the court should ascertain if it was right for an election to be conducted in violation of a court order.

However, Ibinabo, during the case insisted that she single handedly conduct an election to make herself president of the guild, she rather, stressed that, Mikevine should pass his complaint to the Electoral Committee of AGN instead of the law court.

On the other hand, Emeka Ike said in a press statement on Friday, March 13, that the suit filed by Mikevine was a simple call for justice on behalf of other members of the AGN.
